Why Renew Measure-V?
Renew What Works
Measure V is a 1% sales tax that has been in place since 2016, dedicated to funding Ridgecrest’s public safety and infrastructure. This measure is set to expire in 2025, and its renewal is essential to continue the progress we’ve made. It is designed to further enhance Ridgecrest’s public services, including road improvement, police preparedness, and community amenities such as a new pool.
Keep Tax Dollars In Ridgecrest
Measure V ensures that 100% of the sales tax revenue generated stays within Ridgecrest, preventing funds from being taken by Kern County. Nearly 47% of the sales tax revenue comes from non-residents, meaning that visitors coming to Ridgecrest contribute significantly to the services that benefit all of us in this town. Vote to keep our community safe, vibrant, and well-maintained.

Ridgecrest PAC 2030 was formed in 2021 with the intent to help advance issues and measures important to the future development of the City of Ridgecrest. Our vision is for the City of Ridgecrest to evolve into the hub of Eastern Kern and the Sierra Corridor. This includes several key objectives:
- Raising the Quality of Life within our community to attract new families to our community.
- Increase housing options to encourage recruitment and retention at China Lake Naval Base.
- Ensuring that public safety remains the top priority of our elected officials.
- Investing in resources, strategies, and opportunities which draw visitors into our community.
In 2022, Ridgecrest PAC supported the passage of Measure P which is the first in a series of strategic objectives to reach these goals.
